Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan Goes Home Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan Goes Home[/caption] The body of former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Attah Annan has been laid to rest today at the new Military Cemetery in Burma Camp after Ghanaians and the International Community on Thursday converged at the Accra International Conference Centre to bid ceremonial farewell to the late diplomat. The three-day state funeral and burial rites begun after a casket carrying his body arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra from Switzerland on Monday accompanied by his wife, children, grandchildren and some UN officials. Some dignitaries who attended the funeral include; President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, George Weah of Liberia, Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire, Hage Geingob of Namibia and Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger.
