French Ambassador, Anne Sophie Avé named Development Queen, Naa Norley Owaa Oman I of Osu

Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV has bestowed an honorary title on outgoing French Ambassador, H.E. Anne Sophie Avé as the Development Queen, Naa Norley Owaa Oman I of Osu.

To inform them of her departure today, August 11, 2022, the departing ambassador paid a courtesy visit to the Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV and Chiefs of the Osu Traditional Council.

Madam Anne Sophie gave the traditional leaders some French wines as well as an undisclosed sum of money to aid in the growth of the Osu community during the event.

The chiefs of Osu presented Development Queen Naa Norley Owaa Oman the First of Osu, H.E. Anne Sophie Avé, with a customary stool and the honorific title in appreciation of her work done during her tenure in office

In his speech, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV, applauded the French diplomat for her achievements and contributions to Ghana during her time in office.

The departing diplomat was given the assignment to return and aid the Osu neighborhood of which she promised to do through her “Akosua Fund”.

The Osu Mantse, HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owuo IV took the chance to invite H.E. Anne Sophie Avé to this year’s Homowo Festival, which will take place on August 23, 2022.
