Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz have come under huge criticism after they held a house party in their home in Lagos despite calls for social distancing amid the  Coronavirus pandemic.

JJC turned 43 yesterday, April 4, 2020 and in celebration, a house party was thrown in their home in Amen Estate.

Some public figures including Naira Marley, Akpororo, and Eniola Badmus were seen in attendance.

After videos of the party made it online, fans have shared their displeasure at the actress for throwing a party during these times when care and social-distancing is being encouraged.

However in response to the criticisms, JJC Skillz has attendees of the party were already live in same estate with them.

In a now deleted Twitter post, Funke also disclosed that most people who attended the birthday party had been camped in Amen estate before the lockdown order issued by President Buhari on March 29.
