Get Familiar: Dancehall singer, Sean Taylor releases new music video, ‘Everybody Bard’

Published

on

sean taylor (2)Fast-rising dancehall artist Sean Taylor, who was nominated for Best Discovery at the just-ended maiden edition of the BASS Awards, has released a new music video for his single ‘Everybody Bard (Oxford City)’. The simple and arty video shows the life on the streets of Osu, where the artist hails from and sings about in the single. Born in Osu as Theophilus Tettey Taylor, Sean Taylor began his music career at a very tender age of 13 years as a Hiplife artist but diverted into doing full-time Urban Dancehall at age 14. His admiration and quest to reach the heights of sensational Dancehall acts like Sean Paul and Sean Kingston influenced his adoption of the name ‘Sean’ which he added to his surname ‘Taylor’ hence his showbiz name ‘Sean Taylor.’ In 2011, Sean’s hit single “Transition” produced by Magnom got massive airplay on radio stations like Y fm, X fm, Vibe fm, Radio Gold, etc. and he even ended up as one of the finalists contesting to open the Movado concert hosted by Samini at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium in Accra- Ghana. Since then he’s been doing his studio recordings coupled with his education in the nation’s Premiere University- University of Ghana pursuing a first degree. That same year, Sean won the Best Male Music Artiste award in an after-High School Prom (Royal Entourage Prom) and a Best Male Vocalist award in another named Pregiss Amour. He has performed at several events and venues including the National Theatre, Labadi(Lifebuoy Republic Day Jam- 1st July, 2013) and Tawala beach, Club 11, Vienna City- Accra branch, Aphrodisiac Nite Club, Club Invasion, Silver Star Towers, Sarbah Hall Week- University of Ghana and recently opened the Nominees Jam of the maiden edition of the Bass Awards (Reggae/Dancehall Awards 2013) at the Ohene Djan (Accra Sports Stadium) amongst others. He has a video for his hit single “Everybody Bard” playing on Ghanaian T.V stations and on YouTube and another in a song on which a fellow recording artist named Arny featured him. The future looks bright for Sean as he believes his razor-sharp lyrics, infallible melody and dexterity would enable him chalk more success and attain higher heights in the subsequent years. “BigManTing mi seh,” his favourite saying presupposes that the future looks promising. Sean has an optimistic and down-to-earth persona admired by almost everyone who knows him personally. He believes there’s no such thing as a mistake ‘cause “everything happens for a reason.” Currently, Sean is promoting his single “Everybody Bard (Oxford City)” which is getting massive downloads and airplays. He is also working on his next single, ‘Al Qaeda’ to be released soon after his video shoot.]]>
