GPS (God’s People Sing), a gospel music group from Ghana is set to release the first ever gospel mixtape in Ghana by a gospel artist/group. The mixtape which is titled “SOUND DECISIONS” has 7 original songs on it, all written, composed and arranged by the members of the group.

The mixtape is more or less a pre-album that is meant to give their fans a feel of what they are to expect from GPS in the near future. The songs on the “SOUND DECISIONS” mixtape reflect the musical taste of the group which is primarily Gospel with RnB melodies and rythms. The songs are predominantly in English mixed with a little bit of ‘twi’ and ‘ga’.

GPS, currently has three singles off the “SOUND DECISIONS” mixtape out on local radio stations and also available for downloads on the worldwide web. Songs by GPS can be downloaded here www.reverbnation.com/gpsgodspeoplesing or www.facebook.com/gpsafrica

Their brand new Single “Heaven” is a cover version of Lil Wayne’s “How to Love”. It’s a beautiful song that just can’t get enough of. The piece and is already getting so much reviews across Africa and the world at large. Click here http://www.hulkshare.com/ebiz8zhwexvk to download it.

When asked what the meaning of the album title “SOUND DECISIONS” was, the group gave quite an interesting explanation. They said, and I quote: – ‘the title of our mixtape has two distinct meanings. The first meaning is the most commonly known, that is ‘making the right decisions or sane decisions whereas the other meaning to it is to decide or choose the sound you listen to’.

When asked why they chose that title, this is what they said:- “we believe that people become what they hear and see, so we, as musicians decided to say the positive things we want to see in people through our songs and believe that the more they hear us, the more they will be changed positively.”

They added that their main reason for making music is to bring back the lost sheep of God’s Kingdom. They said if our music doesn’t change the lives of people but only brings us money and fame, then we will stop making music and starve instead”.

The group just finished shooting their very first music video for one of their singles titled ‘Destiny’, a song produced by 2Kings. The video is set to be released December 2012 and will be on all major local TV Stations and also on the worldwide web. This video promises to be one of the best Gospel music videos to come out of Africa. Keep your fingers crossed until it’s outdoored, and then you can judge for yourself.
