GFA blocks sports journalist Saddick Adams on social media ahead of ‘Save Ghana Football’ demo
Award-winning Ghanaian sports journalist Saddick Adams has called out the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for blocking him on X.
Saddick, in a recent post, shared a screenshot of the official GFA X account blocking him, addressing GFA president Kurt Okraku and Communications director Henry Asante in his tweet. He expressed disappointment, emphasizing that he had not used offensive language and followed the account for information access.
Dear my brother @kurtokraku and @MistarHAT, I have never used any offensive words or abused or even tagged GFA on this space. I follow this handle to access information.
Whoever is in charge of the handle that has blocked me, thank you very much. 🙏🙏 pic.twitter.com/0sV0ZFDWlP

Saddick’s tweet gained support from fellow sports journalists and the public, raising concerns about the GFA’s actions.
Prior to this incident, Saddick Adams had announced plans for a demonstration against the GFA, aiming to address the decline in football standards following the disappointing exit of the Black Stars from the 2023 AFCON.
