Ghana Global Music Icon Workshop comes off March 27

globalMarch 27th sees a totally different phase of Workshops in Ghana. Manned by Lex Entertainment, the Blaqsheep Multimedia Group and Endorsed by MUSIGA, Ghana will witness a workshop with a refined definition and meaning to the music industry. The Ghana Global Music Icon Workshop, set for the Kama Conference Centre on Wednesday, 27th March, 2013 is poised at educating the entire Ghanaian populace, music lovers, sound engineers, management bodies, already made artiste, up and coming artiste and music industry stake holders on the need to appreciate music as a full time career and not for the basic quest of money and fame. The workshop themed “BUILDING A GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE CAREER AND BRAND IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY” is billed to take off from 10am prompt and end in at 4pm with top notch resource persons invited to speak on the various phases of the music industry. With prolific personalities like Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known in the music and media circles as Obour, who is the current President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ms. Eva Lokko C.E.O. of Totally Youth, Ms. Ofie Kodjoe C.E.O. of Onyx Management Group, Ms. Naana Opoku-Agyemang Management Lead at Lex. Entertainment. Mr. Ameyaw Debrah C.E.O of www.ameyawdebrah.com Mr. David Kwaku Sakyi C.E.O of Kwaku David Photography, Mr. Ekow Mensah Head of The African Network of Entrepreneurs, Mr. Freeman Daniels, one of Africa’s Finest Vocalist and with special invitation placed to Ghana’s celebrated keyboardist Kwame Yeboah and his Ohia be ye ya Band, one can expect nothing but complete sensitization and a full house of fun. In an interview with the organizers, Project Lead Mark Sebastian Ashigbui, known in media circles as Kobbi Blaq explained that the workshop will be a stepping stone, an educational platform and an open – session backed by a share of ideas for all attendants and invited personalities. With Q&A sessions set aside for an interactive day, we promise nothing but resolves for all questions as per the music industry in Ghana. Amongst issues to be discussed are the role of MUSIGA in placing quality Ghanaian Music and musicians out there on the global market, influence of modern photography in the music industry, music as an entrepreneurial skill for livelihood and many other interesting educative and interactive topics. Other phases of the workshop to be tackled are branding and management, photography, stage craft, personality grooming and creativity, song writing and voice training. In addition to the above package, attendants walk away with a Musiga Endorsed Certificate of Participation, a T-shirt, a gift pack, autographed CD’s from Celebrity Artistes, a photo shoot session with guest celebrities, a piece of the workshop inception Cake and many more sponsor products. Tickets have been placed at 30Ghc per attendance with a door to door delivery package for compound purchases above Ten (10) within Accra and Tema. An added value to the Ghana Global Music Icon Workshop would be a motivational incentive package for one lucky up and coming artiste. This person who would walk away with a fully paid studio session, a professional photo-shoot session, a talent and brand management deal, a voice coaching session and a free website. Criteria for selection would be through submission of a prerecorded song via personal efforts guided by some adequate level of professionalism perused by the artiste on their own. This is to test the confidence of the artiste and their ability to identify the various phases of the venture and their extreme interest and consistency. The workshop would be climaxed, with the cutting of an inception cake; this would be by far the largest cake ever, to be cut in the history of workshops in Ghana. The 4”x4” cake will be the edible attraction of the day. The Second edition of the Ghana Global Music Icon Workshop will be hosted by one of the nation’s prolific female broadcaster Ms. Natalia Nana Ama Andoh of Y-fm.
