Renaissance Rivers, an African-American international student who is currently in the University of Ghana studying Marketing through the international program, United Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC), represented Ghana at the Model of Africa contest which took place at the Ember Creek pool side in Lagos, Nigeria last month and won the second position as well as the Mr Photogenic prize. Nigeria’s Kenneth Nwadike emerged as the winner and made history as the first ever Model of Africa which qualifies him to participate in the prestigious Mister International pageant slated for Singapore later this year. Kenneth also went home with the Mr. Fitness award
Victor Kwen Akomaye came third and won the prize for Mr Runway Africa as well. Segun Oyeyemi emerged fourth while Damola Adebowale clinched both the fifth position and Mr. Style Africa with his amazing costume. Other award recipients were Seun Morafa (Mr. Popularity) Akpor Umukoro (Mr. Amity) and Okechukwu Ojukwu, the youngest contestant who was awarded Mr. Talent.
The event which was attended by some notable personalities and celebrities in Nigeria was judged by Kelechi Amadi Obi, Elohor Aisien, Frank Osodi and Oyinka Momoh.
