Gospel singer ACP Kofi Sarpong shares touching story of struggles as he graduates from GIMPA

Ghanaian gospel singer ACP Kofi Sarpong has bagged a first degree from The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

He was a part of the 22nd Congregation of GIMPA who studied Public Administration and was awarded first-class honors in Public Administration.

The musician, who has risen through the rank and file of the Ghana Police Service, and was recently promoted to ACP took to his Instagram page to share the news with fans and followers.

He wrote: Ladies & Gentlemen, your Assistant Commissioner of Police with a 1st Class in BSc. Public Administration from #GIMPA @gimpa_greenhill. Thank you JESUS!!.

This road to attaining higher education hasn’t been easy for ACP Kofi Sarpong.  In an interview with Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on Adom TV’s M’ashyese3 show, he how he had to drop out of school due to financial constraints while growing up.

” I am from Berekum and that was where I lived most of my life but my father as a policeman was often transferred and had to move along. But at a point, my grandmother stopped my mother from any relocation because she was fed up. My father also left and never returned until I was about to write my O’level exam”. he said.
