The third edition of the flagship GUBA Careers event, “The Diaspora Transition” (TDT), will be making a return on Saturday 29th February 2020. The event will be held at the head office of the prestigious law firm, Hogan Lovells LLP. GUBA Careers is under the auspices of GUBA Enterprise, an African based organisation passionate about strengthening the cultural, business and diplomatic links between Africa and the United Kingdom.

The Diaspora Transition which had its most recent successful edition in 2019, seeks to bridge the career and lifestyle gap between members of the Diaspora and our homeland Ghana and Africa as a whole. They seek to achieve this by bringing together resource persons from several disciplines such as law, finance, healthcare, politics, real estate, entrepreneurship and technology. This event gives individuals who are interested in relocating to Africa the platform to identify how they can transition smoothly back home by learning from the stories of those who have experienced it first-hand

Spearheaded by the President and Chief Executive Officer of GUBA Enterprise, Mrs Dentaa Amoateng MBE, TDT has gained ground over the years, with endorsements from the Ghanaian government and support from the Diaspora Office of the President of Ghana.

Encouraging a skills transfer between the African diaspora and the United Kingdom is a key element of growth on both parts. Africa has a wealth of business opportunities, it is therefore imperative to encourage the smooth transition of diaspora professionals back to the continent. I encourage everyone to attend and make a conscious effort to utilise their skills on the continent – Dentaa Amoateng MBE
