Guest Blog : National Cathedral and matters arising!

Akristofoo , do not allow such public ridicule of us in the name of a cathedral. We are in a crises as a country and we must tell the president to use every penny judiciously.

I support the cathedral but we Akristofoo who are said to be 70 % plus of oman yi can build this without a dime from aban. This action of seed money etc has embarrassed some of the trustees for the project because they came out to say it won’t be taxpayers money.

In recent times see what the church of Pentecost alone has put up. Just one denomination. See the edifices of lighthouse in the capital and even CCC In Kumasi, Desert pastures in Bolga, and Action on Spintex rd. to mention but a few.

It may be the lack of proper planning and the drumming home of the full benefit of this project. Currently, we only hear about cost, but future inflows are barely mentioned. Like the Independence Square, you rent you pay to the state, or even the national theatre, you pay for its use, and proceeds go to aban and not individuals or groups.

Now to my layman’s simple analysis using a rough base of ten million akristofoo to contribute only 1 cedi a month.

If 10,000,000 x 1 = 10,000,000 x 12 x 120,000,000 a year divided by 8 Cedis which is the current dollar to cedi gives $15,000,000 a year. This is just 1 cedi
Now let’s push ourselves to say one kristonii to 1$.
10,000,000 x 1$ for a year is $120,000,000
In 3 years $360,000,000.

If we are honest to ourselves we give more than this to our individual pastors and churches. Why do we do this to ourselves? Is this too difficult?

I believe we can do this. Again times are hard, this 245 million as some of my colleagues in the media have said could construct the death trap of the Accra-Kumasi dual carriageway. I believe that too. Pls Addo D, take every penny given them. We can do this ourselves, don’t create enemies for us and let the world ridicule us.

I am a wayside ambassador, hear my plea, educate, involve and whip interest in this, in the end we can all proudly say WE DID IT.

Mano asi….

Nb: there are those who do not support this and those who do. If u support share let’s educate and contribute to saving this project.

“Greater works is always a huge endeavor; we start working from the end of one edition for the next one. These things don’t just happen by chance. What we call the ANOINTING is deliberately nurtured and cultivated. We have to build a place for GOD; a system for GOD to use; you can’t just out of the moment pull up anything and say GOD use it. We have to prepare for HIM and so we take time to prepare. “ (more…)
