Guest Blog: I Have Over Used Ebony- Manager Bullet Confess

Published

I Have Over Used Ebony Manager Bullet ConfessBullet the manager of the 90’s bad gyal Ebony, has expressed his regret for overloading her with work during the festive season of December last year, which has led to her sudden sickness and hence eventually cancelling some of their shows. An event organizer ‘K Monsi’ who is based in the Volta region, is on the verge of sueing Ebony and her management for accepting Ghs30,000 of the Ghs35,000 charge to perform on their 2nd Jan show but cancelled the show some few hours to the program.  Even though Ebony’s camp has refunded the 30K, the even organizer said he needed something more to cover his cost for stage and lighting, promo fees and other things he did for the event to be a successful one, but Bullet is not willing to comply and compensate him, for that reason, they are trying to sue him (Bullet). Speaking with Sammy Flex on showbiz agenda on Zylofon Fm on why they  didn’t show up for the show, Bullet said, his star girl Ebony fell sick on the day, that was why they could not make it to the show. According to him, the ‘sponsor’ hitmaker has been very busy during the last days of December playing back to back shows, there were some days she play like 4 shows, because of this she has fallen sick and they have to cancell the rest of her shows and also refund the performance fees to every promoter. “Is not like we delibrately refused to play the show, Ebony was sick and i have doctor’s reports to show for it, she has been very busy from the 28th, there were some days she have to play four show back to back so she fell sick and i can’t take her to Hohoe to perform. I think the workload was too much and as a manager i have learnt my lessons, so moving forward this will not happen again. He said. elormonline.com]]>

The premiere of the most anticipated Ghanaian crime action thriller; The Agency, postponed to December 2

The Agency3

We wish to officially announce that Ghana’s most anticipated crime action thriller, The Agency, initially scheduled to premiere on October 1, 2022, has been postponed to December 2, 2022.

This difficult decision became necessary due to some challenges, including a planned renovation by Silverbird Cinemas, commencing two days after the premiere of The Agency movie and lasting about a week. Meaning that subsequent showings of The Agency in the cinema would have to be suspended for the entire duration of the renovation. From a business perspective, this is not prudent as a break in screening would water down the impact we anticipate audience reviews after the premiere will make, while potentially affecting revenue as well. Hence, the need to postpone to a more suitable date.

In considering suitable dates, we had to ensure that the new date was not set too close to or on the same day as any major local or international event and or movie releases. This is also important because it can adversely affect our premiere. After extensive consultations and careful consideration, it became clear that The Agency should premiere in December.

Coincidentally, the National Film Authority called on Cine-God Studios to discuss the Ghana Cinema Week slated for December 2022. The ten (10) day event seeks to revive the Ghanaian cinema culture by encouraging Ghanaians to watch Ghanaian films at various venues across the country. By supporting and participating in this initiative, we get a golden opportunity to access more screens; which means we get to bring the The Agency movie closer to more film lovers across Ghana faster than we initially scheduled.

In all, we believe that this postponement provides an opportunity for us to entertain film lovers without compromising on returns for our investor; a win-win situation.

The Agency is a crime-action thriller movie which tells the story of a very powerful government security agency, which was formed to handle the government’s top-secret operations but which gets corrupted under the leadership of a highly connected female government appointee who uses the agency for back-door business dealings, hence, causing the emergence of a group of highly skilled individuals to embark on a self-sanctioned perilous mission to end the corruption and abuse. It was Executive produced by Amin Ramart and directed by Abu Iddris.

We therefore take the opportunity to apologize for any inconveniences caused and encourage the public to turn out in their numbers on December 2, 2022 for the premiere at Silverbird Cinemas (Accra Mall and West Hills mall) and subsequent showings at venues near them.
