Highlife artiste Bisa Kdei who in just a year , was able to achieve what others couldn’t by bringing out 5 solid songs that are enjoying massive airplay on both radio and television is expected by many to be nominated in most of the categories in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which is set to be staged in May . Fans of Bisa K’dei were not happy he was denied an award in last year’s 4syte TV music video awards when his inspirational song ”Metanfo” wasn’t adjudged at least the storyline video of the year, and also was denied a nomination in the 2013 Ghana Gospel Awards when his song ”Give it to Baba” failed to make the final cut in the category ”best alternative gospel song of the year” when through out last year, that inspirational tune had and still is a Chart topper in most of the countdowns in Africa. So one may ask are our academies/boards awarding friends and families in our industry or they are awarding pure talents. Many are expecting the VGMA board to do the right thing and award the right artistes as far as lyrics is concerned but not family members and close relations. Lets all help build our industry but not to collapse it!
