Popular Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, has spoken up in response to rumours about his mental health after a distressing video of himself went viral a few days ago.

When the viral video of the actor supposedly wandering the streets in an awful and pitiful state appeared online, it alarmed both his coworkers and the general public.

His colleague actor, Shan George, responded to the video by denying the assertion that the actor was having problems and posted a video to support her position.

She claimed that the video was recently shot at a filming site, and that Hanks was in good health and was filming at a location in Asaba, Delta State, where he was portraying a king.

She posted some pictures and captioned them, “Three days ago in Asaba. Hanks is fine. We are on same set.”

However, Shan George was criticised by some of her coworkers who refuted her assertion and argued that things weren’t well with Anuku.

On Friday, November 18, Anuku himself responded to the claims on his Instagram page, saying that the viral video of him wandering the streets in dishevelled clothing was staged and that he was well.

He said, “Stop writing crab about me and leave me alone. If they want to act a movie and they need help, come to me”.

“I have been on set and those using those pictures are trying to ruin my image, may the Holy Spirit forgive you. We shall hook up pretty soon”.
