Highlife musician, Rex Omar says the Ghanaian Music industry will not progress if High life artistes stop churning out music.

The ‘Abiba’ hitmaker who recently started a campaign to release songs every month believes highlife music is the only genre sustaining the Ghanaian music industry

“Our music industry will be dead if we the Highlife singers stop releasing music” Rex Omar posted on his Facebook page.

Rex Omar first rose to prominence in 1989 with the Aware Pa album which included the track, ‘Wodofo Ne Hwan’.

As an advocate of Highlife Music in Ghana, Rex Omar has encouraged young and talented artistes to push the Highlife agenda.
