Alicia kept her sexy edge in a leather cutout Jason Wu halter dress with a red sequined bottom half and the perfect touch of punk with Robert Lee Morris jewels, a Tonya Hawkes clutch and streak of red hair. 
“Scandal” star Kerry Washington has been on a whirlwind NYC promo tour today hitting up several back to back to back talk shows. And she pulled it together once again tonight in a gorgeous Vera Wang creation. Vera stepped outside the box of her usual simple colors and flowy looks to go for a structured multimedia dress with a bold metallic print. And it worked perfectly for Kerry.
Kerry and Vera even posed it up with Andre Leon Talley inside looking like a page snatched straight from VOGUE magazine. Serve. 
LaLa Anthony looked amazing as she flew solo in this red satin Zac Posen dress as she showed off her new slim & toned bod in a dress that would show every flaw. But in this look, she’s got none. Perfect straightened & cut blonde hair as well. 
La had some fun with her girl Chanel Iman who rocked striped Diane von Furstenberg. 
And let’s discuss Nicole Richie‘s surprising silver foxy look shall we? We must say, it works for her. It’s a costume gala after all and she gave just enough “costume” drama. Chick could play Storm in X-Men. The fashion diva rocked Dana Rebecca Designs and a Maria Francesca Pepe ring. 
Oh Nicki. Our darling Nicki. Not sure if it’s the 80’s hair (yeah, we know the theme is Punk but still) or the dark lipstick with it, but this is doing a bit much. The dress isn’t doing it for us either. Maybe it’s because it’s by Tommy Hilfiger and he doesn’t strike us as a red carpet formal gown type of designer. But, it’s not horrible.
By the way, Tommy gifted her with a Rolex a few hours ago as well that she happily put on Twitter. Nice!
Fashion diva Solange Knowles never gets it wrong. And tonight is no different. The “Losing You” singer stepped outside the box and rocked a printed blue Kenzo dress for, as she called it, an “Afro Punk” look. And we’re loving every bit of it. The hair, that slit, and those gorgeous earrings. Loves it! 
Rocking a white Thakoon look with an exposed midriff slit and a high split in the skirt, Rita Ora got it all the way right with the hair and makeup as well. Loving this look for her.she paired her look with Nicholas Kirkwood heels and Tasaki for Thakoon necklace, earrings and bracelet. She topped it all off with Cartier rings.
And the athletes also made their way to the hige fashion event: 
NY Giants star Victor Cruz kept it dapper in a teal Lanvin dinner jacket with his tux. 
And his fiancee Elaina Watley looked great in this very detailed bodice of a dress with a full black skirt. 
NY Knicks star Amar’e Soudemire, who plans to come back from injury in Game 3 later this week, attended in a dapper Calvin Kelin suit with a burgundy jacket full of sheen. Loves it. And his wife Alexis makes pregnancy look ridiculously fabulous as she rocks a frock full of feathers by Giambattista Valli. Gorgeous.
The twosome took pics with Taylor Swift and teammate Tyson Chandler‘s wife, Kimberly.
And rounding out the athletes, Tiger Woods and his new chick, pro ski racer Lindsay Vonn, made their red carpet debut tonight. No risks taken here, but the white gown is pretty.
Jennifer Lopez got catty in this stunningly glam Michael Kors gown. Very unexpected look by the all American designer, but the risk paid off because Jenny looks amazing. As usual, the cheetah style nude and black print dress looks painted on. And she’s freaking flawless. 
Kanye’s looking pretty good at the Met Ball. All that away-time in Paris is paying off. And he posed it up with his baby moms-to-be Kim Kardashian, who rocked a much talked abut (and not in a good way) Ricardo Tisci floral dress, gloves and matching shoes.
And if you ask whose grandmother’s plastic couch cover got removed in order to use the couch fabric underneath for this dress…..you aint right.

Miguel made his way to his first MET Ball Monday night. 
Model Tyson Beckford loves himself a bright colors and a bold print. His pink camo Alexander Nash dinner jacket works for him though.

Last night, Davido just sold out one of the most iconic venues in the world, headlining Madison Square Garden in New York City. He ignited the stage with what will be remembered as a historic set, bringing Afrobeats to the Big Apple in the biggest way possible. In advance of the show, he extensively spoke to Billboard who praised how “Performing in New York has also become a special ritual” for him.
This news also arrives on the heels of various major company announcements for UnitedMasters. The company locked down a high-profile alliance with SymphonyOS and Groover. Plus, it hosted its annual “A Celebration of Independence” GRAMMY® Concert at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA. The show boasted an all-star lineup, including headliner Davido, Uncle Waffles, Tokischa, Donavan’s Yard, and NLE Choppa. Of the latter, The Source wrote, “This marked the first time UnitedMasters featured international acts, solidifying its impact and representation within the global independent artist movement.”

The 77th Festival de Cannes will feature an unprecedented yet self-evident pairing at the head of the Caméra d’or Jury. As rich dialogue and inspiring gaze arise from encounters, the Festival de Cannes is eager to bring together Emmanuelle Béart and Baloji to co-preside over the Jury that will honor one of the first films presented in the Festival’s Official Selection or its parallel sections.
An unprecedented pairing since French actress Emmanuelle Béart and director and songwriter Baloji, who evolves in Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo, have never met. She has worked with some of the world’s greatest filmmakers, dazzling both screen and stage with her incandescent performance. He is a bold, visionary creator, who made two short films before receiving the New Voice Prize at Un Certain Regard in 2023 for his acclaimed debut feature Omen.
An obvious pairing as both are free spirits with no limits, who rely on their art to achieve creative freedom. Through her impressive filmography and her humanitarian commitment, Emmanuelle Béart is forever supporting a filmmaking to be shared, to emancipate, transcend borders and help us live together. Baloji, in his first feature film with impressive aesthetic mastery, delivers a chronicle that transcends otherness through the prism of magical realism.
Delighted to be paired at the head of the Caméra d’or Jury, Baloji and Emmanuelle Béart will combine their voices to welcome the first features of filmmakers who look at the world with inspiration, tell us about it with emotion and invite us to discuss it with the conviction of beginnings. “Being a self-taught filmmaker and a filmmaker from the Congolese diaspora,” confides Baloji, “it’s a great honour to be able to witness the vitality of first-time directors, to discover their strong singularities and their inaugural work, which will have a lasting impact on the identity of their filmography.” Emmanuelle Béart declares: “A first film is about the impossibility of doing anything other than delving into the depths of one’s being to find out what we can’t keep quiet about. A deeply moving and terribly free birth: no one is waiting for you yet. We will honor our duty with wonder and respect.”
The Caméra d’or Jury has been co-chaired three times before: by actress Françoise Fabian and director Daniel Schmid in 1996, by Marthe Keller and Géraldine Chaplin in 2002, and by brothers Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne in 2006.
In 2023, the Caméra d’Or was awarded to Pham Thien An for Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell by the Jury presided over by French actress Anaïs Demoustier
