Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown has revealed her IVF journey took such a massive toll on her emotionally.

According to Nana McBrown, who started her IVF journey 8 years ago before she finally had her fist baby in 2020, shares how emotionally draining the entire process was for her and her partner.

In a new interview on We Got This Africa with Naa Ashorkor, the award-winning actress revealed after her first try at the IVF treatment which turned out negative, “she was so down and so confused.”

Nana Ama reveals the her second attempt at the IVF treatment was so emotionally draining that she didn’t want anyone around her, not even her husband.

She shares that she would go to the hospital by herself, without her husband because she felt he didn’t understand what she was going through.

“I went alone, my husband would say whatever to console me or whatever but he already has two kids so mostly I just felt he didn’t understand how I was feeling. Sometimes, that’s how we feel, that they don’t understand the way I feel,” she shared.

“However, he was showing all the care and support but I wasn’t seeing it because it was about me at that moment. But thank God that when the results came and the Doctor said I was pregnant,” she added.
