I enjoyed the hype from people believing I was dating DELAY – Amerado

Ghanaian rap sensation, Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, well-known by the stage name Amerado has revealed that he relished the excitement and buzz surrounding rumors of his alleged romantic relationship with renowned media personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay. 

It will be recalled that in 2023, the speculation about their relationship gained momentum on social media and various entertainment platforms, with fans eagerly discussing the possibility of the two being an item.

Speaking in a recent interview with Roselyn Felli on Prime Morning Show, the award-winning rapper shared his thoughts on the matter, stating, he enjoyed the hype from people who believed and still believe he was dating Delay. 

According to him, the attention and discussions were quite entertaining and brought a lot of focus to his work. The ‘Kweku Ananse’ hitmaker further appreciated how the rumors kept his name trending and added an element of intrigue to his public persona.

Despite the speculation, Amerado clarified that there was no romantic involvement between him and Delay. He emphasized that their interactions were purely professional and friendly, but the public’s reaction to their chemistry was something he found amusing and beneficial to his career.

The crooner also made known that he had a partner at the time of the speculation who felt quite bad about the rumors but later had to come to terms that his job comes with such unfortunate incidences.
