‘I got the award because of God’ – DJ Switch replies critics against her ‘Best DJ Of The Year’ win
Young Ghanaian female Disc Jockey, Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh, well known as DJ Switch, has sent a reply to people who have questioned why she was awarded the ‘Best DJ Of The Year’ at the just ended 2019 Ghana DJ Awards.
After DJ Switch was adjudged ‘Best DJ of the Year’ at the 2019 Ghana DJ Awards Saturday night, some social media users believed she did not deserve the accolade.

In a rebuttal to such comments, DJ switch told Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’ that she worked very hard to attain her win.
The youngster argued how hard she kept pushing after she won the Discovery DJ of the Year award. According to her, she used it as a guard to work harder and that guaranteed the four nominations which led to her biggest win as the Best DJ of the Year.
When she was asked whether her performance in the Year under review outweighed his compatriots in the same category, DJ Switch answered it is the doing of her God.
“The other nominees are Senior DJs but I think I got the award because of God. I prayed and talk to my God that I want the Best DJ of the Year and my God granted me the wish,” she said.
DJ Switch beat DJ Mic-Smith, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly, DJ Aroma and DJ Black to win the Best DJ of the Year award in a ceremony which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
