Speaking in an interview on GhOne TV about the recognition, the film director lamented how stakeholders in the Ghana Movie industry fail to properly appreciate creatives in the industry.

According to Pascal, although Gold Coast Lounge has received 13 awards in Ghana since its release in 2020, none of the cast and crew have received plaques from the event organizers.

He said:

“Gold Coast has won 13 awards in Ghana. 8 of those awards are from the Ghana Movie Awards and 6 of those from the Golden Movie Awards. Till now, all those 13 movie awards from those award shows, have not submitted my plaques.”

“I went to Nigeria, won an award and the actual award was given to me there and then. I went backstage, went to sit down with it, and my name was written on it,” he added.
