I see a therapist twice a week: Camidoh on mental health struggles

Ghanaian afropop singer and songwriter, Camidoh, has shared his challenging, difficult past traumas and mental health struggles.

Following two terrifying car accidents this year, Camidoh stressed the importance of having a solid mental health in his profession.

In an interview on TV3’s New Day, the ‘Sugarcane’ singer disclosed that the challenging times has allowed him take therapy sessions very serious.

“I was almost getting over my PTSD and recently I got involved in two major road accidents that really became very traumatic for me. So I had to take my therapy sessions more seriously, now I do two in a week”, he said.

According to Camidoh, the difficult circumstances prevented him from reaching his plans for the year.

“It’s really challenging for me because as a creative who is willing to work, these things held me back,” he added.
