One of Ghana’s most celebrated food vloggers watched and loved worldwide, Sweet Adjeley has disclosed how her passion for cooking started at an early age.

The YouTuber with 772K subscribers and 76 million views on her 299 videos in a sit-down conversation with Ameyaw Debrah shared how she grew a love for cooking at the age of 10 through her aunt.

In the interview aired on AmeyawTV, the US-based vlogger said:

“Growing up, nobody sat me down to teach me how to cook but it’s about fanning the fire, fetching water, grinding pepper and as you do those things you’re watching and learning. I grew up in the 80s and you had to be in the kitchen, my auntie did most of the cooking in our home and she taught us how to cook. So by the time I was 10yrs old I was already cooking.”

According to Sweet Adjeley, her shy personality held her back from starting her YouTube channel sooner and had to take her using her daughter in her first video to be committed on her vlogging journey.
