The renowned gospel music sensation who is well known for her soul-stirring gospel tunes, disclosed that her sudden shift towards a more stylish appearance was rooted in a realization that Christianity is fundamentally about righteousness rather than outward appearances.

The ‘Tetelesta’ singer made this known when she appeared as a guest on TV3’s The Day Show with Berla Mundi.

It will be recalled that the Woman Of God, in an recent  interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show opened up about the impact of the controversial teachings of the late Ghanaian preacher, Emmanuel Kwaku Apraku popularly known as ‘Apraku My Daughter’ on her personal choices, specifically in the realm of fashion. She detailed that the preacher’s doctrines had influenced her to neglect the importance of dressing stylishly.

“When I gave my life to Christ, there were a lot of false doctrines. Apraku My Daughter was a famous pastor by then. So, my church invited him, and when he came, he said that a dwarf took him to a forest where it was revealed to him that ladies’ hair cream is made of blood, the powder is from the ashes of human bones, including make-up products and others, and he made us understand that anyone involved in such things wouldn’t make it to heaven,” she recounted.

However, in the latest interview on the Day show, the gospel crooner emphasized that she was too spiritual back then and considered every stylish thing about fashion demonic. Nevertheless,, as she grew in Christ,  she realized Christianity was about living a righteous life and not necessarily about what one wears.

”I was too spiritual then. Too spiritual to the extent that when I see someone in make-up, nails etc, I perceive that person to be a descendant of ‘maame water.’ I would have never worn what I’m wearing now, you know. But as time went on i realized christianity was about righteousness, holiness and obeying God’s word and not necessarily what you wear,” she said

Diana further revealed that a lot of christian women are losing their husbands because they have refused to improve on the fashion sense. She explained that these women dress stylishly when they are in search of a husband, but as soon as God answers their prayers, they start to dress anyhow.
