“I Still Believe It’s a Beautiful Thing” – Joyce Blessing on Love and Marriage

Ghanaian gospel artist Joyce Blessing has expressed that she remains hopeful about love and marriage, despite her past challenges in this area.

During a recent interview on 3FM’s Drive with Giovani Caleb, Joyce was asked about her views on love and marriage and whether she would consider pursuing that path again. In response, the ‘Heavy Price’ hitmaker acknowledged her difficult experiences but expressed her belief that marriage is still a “beautiful thing” and something she remains open to in the future.

She emphasized that despite her personal setbacks, love and marriage remain meaningful and worth pursuing.

“What I have been through and my past experience, I will use it to protect the new one that I’m going to enter in. I think marriage is a beautiful thing, love is a beautiful thing, I believe that when you meet one who understands you and loves you just as you are and you can be yourself every time, it’s very important.

“Not one that you are trying to be someone and please the person which even you cannot do it but by force you want to,” she said.

The award- winning crooner further encouraged individuals to prioritize relationships that bring peace of mind, rather than focusing solely on pleasing their partners. She believes that true happiness in marriage comes from both parties being content and fulfilled, rather than sacrificing one’s peace for the sake of staying in a relationship. This, she says, is key to building strong, lasting relationships.

Joyce Blessing’s marriage to Dave Joy ended in divorce after nearly ten years. She and her former husband, who also served as her manager, reportedly separated due to both parties engaging in extramarital affairs. The couple shares three children from their marriage. Despite the difficulties of her past, Blessing remains optimistic about the possibility of finding love again and continues to see value in the institution of marriage
