Ghanaian musician, Fameye has revealed that before his rise to fame, he used to work as a teacher.

According to the “Praise” hitmaker, he enjoyed teaching at a school located in East Legon, and won the hearts of the students because of his unusual way of teaching.

In an interview on Accra FM, Fameye stated that he inculcated music into his teaching, and would often sing “jamma” to the students.

“I have taught before at Mempeasem, located in East Legon around Trinity. With kids, you don’t need to do much, and I used to sing jamma for the children too much. I took the kids to the streets too much,” he revealed.

Fameye adds that the kids derived so much joy from his style of teaching, and gave him the nickname “Teacher Peter.”

“Imagine teaching these East Legon children the songs I used to teach them. The headmistress used to ask me what I was doing. The children called me, ‘Teacher Peter.’ They used to pay me $150,” he added.
