I won’t advise myself to date anyone in the music industry – Gyakie

Ghanaian music sensation, Jackline Acheampong, known professionally as Gyakie, has shared her thoughts on dating an industry person. 

The ‘Rent Free’ hitmaker, while speaking in an exclusive interview on 3FM asserted that although love is unquestionably beautiful, romantic relationships with people in the same field as you might be quite difficult.

Gyakie, also known as the ‘Song bird’,  further acknowledged that love is unpredictable, but she insisted that she would not be dating someone in the business for the time being.

“I won’t advise myself to do that if I have another version of me. I wouldn’t advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know.

Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn’t say its wrong but at the same time, right now, I wouldn’t advise myself to be with an industry person,” she said

This comes after the award-winning singer disclosed her motivations for coming up with her latest single ‘December’. She revealed that following a disappointment and broken heart from a ‘special someone’, she decided to put her thoughts together to compose ‘December’ to deal with her emotions.
