Popular Ghanaian gospel singer, Gifty Adorye, popularly known as  Empress Gifty has attributed her current ‘glow up’ to inner peace.

According to Empress Gifty, who suffered a bad divorce but was blessed with a loving husband, NPP Politician, Hopeson Adorye, her decision to free herself from societal grips has led her to live her best life.

Empress Gifty was speaking in an interview with Emelia Brobbey on her Okukuseko Talk Show when she revealed the ‘secrets to her recent beauty.’

“It’s inner peace. I think inner peace is something that is not bought, it is God that gives it,” she stated.

She further explained how people in her line of work, have to pretend on the outside when they are not  because they are trying to ‘fit in’ and avoid criticism.

“In this line of work that I find myself in, most of us pretend to be okay outside but within us, we are not happy and this something that has a huge effect on the human system; it brings your beauty, as a woman down, limits your choices, because you are always looking at what society will say before making a particular choice,” she explained.

She added;

“I have pretended for so many years and now, this is Empress and I just want to be me. Love me for who I am.”
