Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon Adowa Safo has written to the National School Feeding Coordinator asking her to be reinstated few days after firing her.

According to a letter dated May 20 2021, the Dome-Kwabenya MP said it “was an administrative error” that he issued a letter earlier asking Mrs Gertrude Quashigah to be relieved of her position.
The original letter did not state the reason for the decision by the Minister to sack the National School Feeding Coordinator.

“This is to inform you of the termination of your appointment as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme. You will be paid one month’s salary in lieu of notice as stipulated in your contract agreement”, the letter had stated.

Well, the Minister has reconsidered her decision and asked Mrs Gertrude Quashigah to return to her position as the National School Feeding Coordinator.

“I wish to state that my earlier letter was as a result of an administrative error,”the letter stated.
