It wasn’t my intention to pull the gentleman down- Abiana speaks on viral Mentor Audition
Award-winning Ghanaian female vocalist, Abiana, has stated that she meant no harm to the gentleman whose audition she abruptly cut short for this year’s music reality show, Mentor.
In a recent interview on Showbiz 360 with Giovani Caleb, Abiana stated that her reaction which has been called “harsh” by critics, was just in the “speed of the moment.”
“No harm intended. I didn’t want to pull him down or anything. It was just the speed of the moment. See, when you have such numbers waiting to be auditioned, it’s an opportunity for you to sell yourself. If you say you are a singer, I believe you have to choose a song that would show what your voice can do.

“So if you come in with a song that does not display what you intend to do, what do you want me to say? People are waiting to be auditioned, and if I don’t do it with the speed of time, we could close the next day. It was nothing like I wanted to kill his vibe or anything,” she told Giovani.
Abiana topped trends over the week after a video that captured her going hard on a young singer who auditioned for this year’s music reality show, Mentor went viral.
Abiana, a co-judge with Dancehall musician, Epizode, cut short the performance of a male singer who was exhibiting his talent in hopes of making it through the auditions stage.
