The Big Chill Mixtape Front CoverJohn “J Berg” Edet, a product of the streets of Lagos (Gidi) that is known for his lyrical dexterity on and off the records and as one of the most lethal battle emcees in Nigeria, has finally dropped his much-anticipated debut mixtape, ‘The Big Chill’, under the wings by Beatboxx Entertainment.  The 19-track star studded tape is hosted by Ex-O (C.E.O Cash-In Records) and it features Iceprince, Terry Tha Rapman, Muna, Teeto Ceemos, Zee, Loose Kaynon, Skales, Emmsong and Labzy LawaL.<<<DOWNLOAD MIXTAPE>>>

J Berg’s label mates Murda Ace, Ms. chief, Goddess Of Skillz and XII Gage also held their own down in a couple of features and added flavour to the mix.  The mixtape, is expected to send a ‘Big Chill’ down the spines of his competition.

J Berg (real John Edet), who started rapping back in Air Force Military School, Jos some 5 years ago says he got the love of music from his father when he played records by Fela, Eric Clapton, Majek Fashek and Manu Dibango. His influences come from the late Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z and most recently Jay Electronica.
