Jason Derulo and girlfriend Jena Frumes break up 4 months after birth of their son

Jason Derulo is “ridin’ solo” once again.

The pop star has announced his split from girlfriend, Jena Frumes, just four months after the fitness model gave birth to their only child together, son Jason King.

“Jena and I have decided to part ways,” Derulo tweeted Thursday. “She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.”

“Pls respect our privacy in this time.”

Frumes, 28, and Derulo, 32, share a Sept. 21st birthday. Just one day before Derulo’s breakup announcement, Frumes dedicated a sweet birthday message to the “Lifestyle” singer, revealing they’d just celebrated together in Aspen.

“Blessed to share the same day of birth with my lover. You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, silly, loving human ever,” Frumes wrote about Derulo on Instagram.

She went on, “You truly make me whole and I’m so grateful for the love we share. You and our mini make me the happiest girl in the world and I can’t wait to make more memories with you guys.

“I know I’m a tough cookie but you make me soft and accept me for who I am and I’m forever grateful for that🥺 ” she continued. “Cheers to another year! I love you so much, forever ❤️”

The influencer later deleted the post, but has kept up other photos of their family.

The pair of exes welcomed son Jason King on May 8, with Derulo calling it, “The happiest day of my life.”

“He’s so lucky to have such a strong caring hero of a mother @jenafrumes,” Derulo added.
