The President of Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey, has said that former HIV & AIDS ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah is an attention seeking person aiming for popularity.

This comes after a video of Joyce on board a train begging for funds to help put up the National Cathedral from the passengers was circulating on social media.

Speaking on Hitz FM on Tuesday Morning, Mark who says he’s been monitoring Joyce for a while now thinks she’s doing it to stay popular.

“I think she wants to become popular. I have been monitoring her over the years; almost everything that she does is to get people to talk about her over months. Some of them are very dirty,” he stated.

Speaking on the video, Mark added that it was a low point for the former AIDS Ambassador to sell Ghana out in that manner.

“You decided to sell Ghana in this form and you went this low to ridicule Ghana forgetting that your country first… the Akans have a saying that you don’t point your home with a left finger. So no matter how bad it is, you solve your problems within. You don’t go out there and sell the whole country to the world as if we don’t know what we are about. It is rather unfortunate she is a creative person and this is how she gives creative people a pay back and we must show our protest that this is not how we creative people think,” he stated.

He also added that, “If she thinks she has ideas …do more pieces on malaria, people throwing oranges through car windows, etc. There are a lot of problems she can use acting to solve instead of this. I think she wants to become popular. I have been monitoring her over the years; almost everything that she does is to get people to talk about her over months. Some of them are very dirty. And so it takes time to take her as a serious person even if she means well. I never talk about her issues but this very on
