FESPACO has announced the Panorama Selection for 2019 and ‘Rattle Snakes’ is the only film representing Ghana in that section.
‘Rattlesnakes’ is directed by Ghanaian filmmaker Julius Amedume (Precipice) and produced by Nik Powell (who earned 6 Academy Awards nomination for The Crying Game). It stars Jimmy Jean-Louis, whose other movie, ‘Desrances’ in competition at FESPACO for best actor and best movie.
‘Rattlesnakes’ tells the story of how Robert McQueen’s day takes a turn for the worst, when he is held hostage and accused by three vengeful husbands of sleeping with their wives.
It will have a world premiere next month at Pab-African Film Festival.
