KD Aubert 2The star-studded feature film, “Turning Point” which sees top Ghanaian and Nigerian actors collaborating with some of Hollywood’s finest has been buzzing for some time now and according to producers, filming is currently ongoing in Delaware and expected to wrap up this weekend.

According to co-producer, Egor Efiok the production continues with some few changes that have been made in casting. Due to unforeseen circumstances, actresses Lauren London and Chelsea Eze have been replaced with K.D. Aubert and Oge Okoye, respectively.  A few of K.D. Aubert’s movie credits include “The Scorpion King”, “Friday After Next”, “Hollywood Homicide”, “Soul Plane”, she starred also with Usher in “In The Mix”.

Set in New York,  ‘Turning Point’ explores ethnic prejudice amongst the various black communities in America (a la “Crash”) and centers around a Nigerian investment banker that bows to family pressure to abandon his American sweetheart for an arranged wife from back home. His life is turned upside-down when the marriage turns out not too rosy, setting off a chain of events that forces him to confront his reckless past.

It features Nollywood stars Jackie Appiah, Igoni Archibong, Patience Ozokwor, Enyinna Nwigwe, and Ebbe Bassey alongside Hollywood actors Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”, “Law and Order”, “Desperate Housewives”), Todd Bridges (“Diff’rent Strokes”, “Everybody Hates Chris”), Cynda Williams (“Mo’ Better Blues”, “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge”) and Joe Estevez (“Apocalypse Now”, “Spanish Fly”). The movie is written, directed and executive produced by Niyi Towolawi
