Kendrick Lamar Leads 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards nominations with 14 nods
Last night on “106 & PARK”, BET Networks announced Uncle Snoop as the host of the BET HIP HOP AWARDS ’13 taping Saturday, September 28th back in the ATL. So you already know the Atlanta Civic Center will be up in smoke that whole weekend. Snoop said about his new hosting gig:
“I’m excited to be hosting this year’s ‘BET Hip Hop Awards 2013.’ We’re going to have fun this year and I will make it a show to remember, ya dig?! I’ll be giving a ton of surprises, showcasing my exclusive GGN News clips and bringing all my nieces and nephews to the stage for an exciting night of hip-hop.”This is the 8th year for the Hip Hop Awards and Snoop promised that this year’s show will be a true tribute to real hip hop culture. We shall see… As for who will be bringing home all the Award Show bacon this year? Looks like Drake & Kendrick Lamar will indeed rack up. The “Poetic Justice” rapper led the nominations with 14, Drizzy followed with 13 and J.Cole received 10. As for the ladies, Nicki Minaj joins the boys’ club with 1 nomination. The Awards premiere on BET on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 8:00 P.M. And they will also air on Friday, October 18th on BET’s international network in the UK and Africa.
