Amber Rose made some headlines when she recently wore Ghanaian designer clothes in African fabric to host the Trey Songz concert in Ghana. The world would see more of such trends when they see Hollywood star actress, Kimberly Elise rocking some Da Viva fabrics in the upcoming drama, ‘Ties That Bind’

Da Viva Fabric was the signature fabric for the Leila Djansi movie that is scheduled for a December release in Ghana. Da Viva fabrics contain a diversity of themes, colors and designs inspired by the purest traditions from around the world. It is a collection of pure cotton, celebrating with their colors the beauties of life.

“We are very excited to work with Daviva. They costumed both Sinking Sands and Ties That Bind. I personally requested for Daviva because they have a very unique design; it is very afropolitan. It’s not loud and allows you to blend costume and environment seamlessly. I don’t like it when costume stands out in a film, its important it blends into the story and the characters thus allowing the viewer to concentrate on story, not clothes and Daviva afforded us that opportunity,” comments Leila Djansi, Director of Ties That Bind.

Costumed by Mabel Germain, the three lead actresses of ‘Ties That Bind’, Kimberly Elise, Ama K Abebrese and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde as well as other cast members wore signature pieces from Da Viva.
