Kings University College opens 2022 admissions
Kings University College (KUC), a private tertiary institution incorporated in January 2009, is opening its doors for new applicants.
With two campuses the university is poised to deliver invigorating teaching and learning experience. The main campus located at Aplaku Hills, Weija, Accra close to the West Hills mall.
Kings University College has the basic essential facilities for an amazing teaching and learning experience. These facilities include well-furnished lecture halls, students’ hostel, a green and spacious campus, lawn tennis courts, cafeteria services and a very large car park.
The University also boasts of a computer laboratory, a general library and a law library stocked with diverse reference materials in the relevant programmes.
Kings University College has been institutionally accredited by the National Accreditation Board(NAB) and Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) since January 2010. All academic programmes on offer at KUC are accredited and recognized by the relevant government educational bodies particularly NAB.
While Kings University College prepares itself to obtain a presidential charter as a full-fledged university within a few years, the institution is at present affiliated to the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. Thus, upon successful completion of a programme of study, our students are awarded relevant degrees by the University of Cape Coast.
Many of the programmes on offer at KUC are highly acclaimed and recognized by international associations, such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
Kings University College is the first university in Ghana to be accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, which gives exemptions to Accounting graduates of KUC for any CIMA courses taken. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana (ICAG) has also accredited KUC and provides exemptions to Accounting graduates of KUC for any ICA courses taken. Similar arrangements exist with other professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), Ghana.
At present, Kings University College offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes under the University of Cape Coast affiliation.
KUC offers specialised career-driven certificate programmes alongside the degree programmes as follows:
BSc. Administration + Certificate in Forensic Science
BSc. Computer Science + Certificate in Entrepreneurship
BSc. Information Technology + Certificate in Paralegal Studies
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) + Certificate in Data Science
The institution provides 25% scholarships to Law students and offer tutorial classes for entry to Ghana Law School.
At the post-graduate level KUC offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes with specialisations in; Insurance & Risk Management, Strategic Management, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource management and Banking & Finance.
Entry requirement for MBA applicants is Bachelor degree. We accept WASSCE, matured students, HND graduates to study undergraduate programmes.
