Kojo Anim Kevin Hart

Kojo opened for Kevin Hart at Webley and in September 2018 Kevin announced backstage after a powerhouse performance at his third sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena that he would help three UK comedians by producing comedy specials for them.

He said he wanted to give back to Kojo Anim, Richard Blackwood and Slim The Comedian because they were the driving force in his success in the UK after he decided to bring his talents across the pond.

On the video posted on his Instagram page he said: ‘When I first started coming to the UK, these three guys dedicated time and energy to showing me all around basically embracing me. Not only embracing me but making me feel like I stood a chance in developing to become a fan favourite here. As time went over I kept developing, put the work in, and kept coming back. Shit shot to the roof…Kojo, Rich and Slim, who is not here. You have my word that I will be producing a comedy special for you.’

Kojo took to Twitter as a response tweeting: ‘Me and this guy go all the way back to 2007 and he has been the best thing to happen to comedy. This announcement just took everything to another level. I salute you.’
