ENERGY!! HYPE!! and more ENERGY was the anthem for Kojo Manuel at Tidal Rave 2019. 2018 proved to be the biggest year for Kojo Manuel as an MC & Hypeman and it’s beginning to look like 2019 might even be better!

His crowd control was amazing as he balanced brand promos and super energetic jams with the ravers who couldn’t get enough of him!

Most iconic moment was when Kojo Manuel partnered with DJ Vyrusky to get the whole party sing Don’t Keep Me Waiting Pt 2 by Kwesi Arthur with lighter on! What’s truly iconic was Kwesi Arthur’s reaction to the video, calling it “Highly Spiritual” on Twitter and screaming,”my heart…” on the Instagram post!

He also liased with DJ Wallpaper, DJ Neizer and iPhone DJ to keep the ravers jamming all night at Ghana’s biggest beach rave!

After the total shutdown of the Ghana Meets Naija Concert a month before, there seems to be no stopping Kojo Manuel, also known affectionately as Manny Yo!

It’s obvious that no one compares to his energy and articulation on the mic. You don’t believe? watch highlights of the show below and the various posts on Twitter and Instagram!

Safe to say, if your party doesn’t have Manny Yo on it, you slack!

Police brutality is slapping someone cooperating and already in cuffs – musician NY Melody

Published

The Ghana Police Service arrested 29 people on Tuesday after dispersing a violent anti-cost protest in Accra with tear gas. The protest took a turn for the worse when protesters engaged in a violent exchange with police, injuring 12 officers and leading to the arrest of some of the protesters.

Following the incident, many Ghanaians, both inside and outside the country, have come out to condemn the police and protesters’ violent actions.

One video that went viral from the incident showed a police officer beating a handcuffed protester who was clearly not resisting arrest. The video sparked an online outrage, with “Be My Love” singer NY Melody among those quick to condemn the officer’s actions.

The musician later posted a video in which he expressed his disappointment at seeing the video. For him, the police officer was abusing his authority, and slapping someone who was already handcuffed was completely unnecessary.

“We live in a democracy, and in a democracy, we have the right to demonstrate when something bothers us.” The police, also known as “Peace Officers,” are supposed to keep the peace and order no matter what environment they are in.”

Imagine what would have happened if the protesters had retaliated in response to the slap. The cops should have known better; they should have some emotional intelligence. “Police brutality is slapping someone already in cuffs who isn’t resisting arrest.” he said.
