Set to take place at the Kama Conference Centre in Labone, TED is an annual event that brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that matter in any discipline — technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, business, and development. The talks at the conference, “TEDTalks,” are then made available to watch for free on TED.com.

Under the theme “inform, Empower & Educate, TEDxLabone2014 has a speaker lineup that is — in a word — thrilling. Speakers will touch on topics ranging from technology, entertainment, design and education to climate change, architecture, music, science and parenting. Some speakers on the lineup will look back and reflect on things that have happened over the past 30 years.

Hon Hanna Tetteh – Lawyer & Politician will talk about her passion “Women in Leadership & Governance – Why it matters & personal reflections”, while Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone will talk about “Woman to Woman: How successful women can replicate their success through mentoring”.

The astute Entrepreneur & Broadcaster, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Hayford Siaw  – a Social Entrepreneur & a Reach for Change Leader” and Mrs. Eva Lokko a Gender Activist, Public/Motivational Speaker will all share intriguing experience in their various fields on Dream, imagine, explore; Challenging today’s African to conquer tomorrow; Do good, doing it well, and The Third Pillar For Job Creation respectively

Papa Arkhurst -Entrepreneur & Public / Motivational Speaker speaking on Functional Citizenship, Paul Anomah-Kordieh- Visually impaired newscaster & a motivational speaker  talking about Disability and employment struggle—Personal Lessons, Regina Agyare- Software Developer & Social Entrepreneur speaking on Changing Africa’s single story with science and and D.K Osei-Yaw Writer, rapper, actor, musical and recording artist are among the about 20 speakers lined up.

The late ace BBC broadcaster Komla Dumor and award-winning investigative journalist Anas Areemeyaw Anas were TED Speakers in the past.
