KOKA Issues Apology to Ohemaa Mercy After Being Granted Bail

After being granted bail of GHC 2,000, entertainment critic and artist manager Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has issued a public apology to renowned gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy.

This comes after KOKA was granted bail on Thursday, September 26, 2024, following his arrest, initiated by the gospel musician. The arrest was a result of alleged threats made by Koka on social media, which Ohemaa Mercy considered life-threatening.

The controversy stemmed from a fallout between the entertainment critic and Ohemaa Mercy, which reportedly led to the online posts that triggered the legal action. After being released on bail, Koka took to social media to express remorse for his actions, stating that the experience had changed him.

In his public apology on Friday, September 27th  Koka wrote, “Friends and fans of Koka… I am safely back from hibernation. Although not a pleasant experience, I am a better person. God knew what He was doing. I thank you all for your love and support. To all those I unconsciously wronged, including Ohemaa, I sincerely apologise.”

The ariste manager also extended forgiveness to those involved in his arrest, adding, “And to all those who made me suffer, I wholeheartedly forgive.”
