Ghanaian actor cum presenter, Kwaku Manu, has claimed that it would take a staggering $ 1 billion for him to campaign for a political party in the upcoming general election next year.

According to him, he is not ready to campaign for any political party ahead of the 2024 general elections. Speaking in a candid interview with Graphic Showbiz, the actor, who doubles as a musician divulged that, before he breaks his vow to pick a party colour, the party must offer him a good deal of not less than $1 billion.

Kwaku Manu added that he knows no party would be ready to make such a huge payment to one person over an election and as such, he gets to stay out of politics.

The presenter, to a greater extent averred that although he never fails to cast his vote in every election, he believes that, as an actor and public figure, it is better not to disclose his political affiliation or the party he votes for. He explained that, “I am not bragging, but no amount of money can influence me to campaign for any political party, whether NPP or NDC. Unless they are willing to pay me over $1 billion, which I know they wouldn’t.”

“I vote every four years but I believe as a celebrity, it is good not to disclose the political party you support,” the actor hammered.
