Kwame Sefa Kayi reveals he was frightened at the #VGMA19
The Master of Ceremony (MC) for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Kwami Sefa Kayi has revealed that he got frightened when violence broke out between supporters of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale at the event.
The event which happened on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) got disheveled after the encounter between the two Reggae-dancehall rivals
“I came with my wife to enjoy the show. Young girls and boys present, Ministers of state there, British High Commissioner in attendance and you come up together with Berla Mundi as MCs for the show which was going on well and something happens and guns are pulled, you for look sharp”, the award-winning journalist revealed to Captain Smart on Adom Fm.
“I was frightened by happenings because it could have been anything. It could have turned into something very unpleasant especially when the free for all fight started on the stage. But for the timely intervention of the security and the few spirited individuals who remained calm, there would have been recorded deaths”, he added.
