Kwame Yeboah 4 scaled

Aseda, is the first single from the forthcoming maiden album in the new chapter of a Ghanaian musical asset, Kwame Yeboah, for his launch as a solo artist.  Pronounced Ah-seh-da, in the Akan native language of Ghana, translates as the expression of Gratitudeor Thanks.

A naturally gifted multi-instrumentalist by age 17, Kwame, now an accomplished producer and live performer, holds a longstanding position as an illustrious musical director for legends, notably Yusuf / Cat Stevens, Craig David and the Maestro Kojo Antwi. Additionally, achieving worldwide recognition with his endeavours as the leader of Ohia Beye Ya (OBY Band) and Kwashibu Area Band, both fronted by the Golden Voice of Africa, Highilife Music legend, Pat Thomas.

ASEDA front

On Aseda, Kwame celebrates the wisdom of natures seasons, which he characteristically plays, in a masterfully arranged philosophical composition of an altered rhythm of smooth jazz.

Teasing with delicate harmonious melodies, he journeys through fair-weather, from a graze from the light to the skip to the beat of the heart, he surrenders to the magic of life in the face of a new day.

In true classic Kwame Yeboah surprise, he modestly dawns on us, emerging once again as a sub-saharan golden son, rising.

Ghanaian Rising Star, ZIK Takes Fans On a Journey with Odyssey

Published

Odyssey EP

ZIK (formerly known as Izzik) was born to be a hero and he knows it. The Lagos raised Ghanaian talent knew the journey he was about to put his fans on when he decided to name his EP ‘Odyssey’. Similar to the Greek legend, Zik has crafted a potpourri of excitement, danger, bounce and grace with finesse. It’s what the young people call Sauce, and as evident on the first single SDTF, Zik has sauce pouring out of his pores.

‘Odyssey’ opens with the beautiful, powerful and aptly titled ‘Walking Shoes’. This song is a celebration of the beauty of his journey and the growth that comes with it. It opens with profound spoken-word poetry from a woman and slides into soulfulness. It’s not your typical Afrobeats intro but Zik is far from typical. Zik is in a lane of his own. He glides and spills real talk all over the catchy production. On ‘Trips’ is the sexy bounce which allows Zik to dictate the new cool.  Bad Idea is the song for people who stay on their toes 24/7. The sharp guys and girls. It’s an anthem that immediately puts you on high alert. Zik bleeds honesty and tells detractors “Nod my head this thing I don hear. Abeg free me make I dey my lane.” ‘Odyssey’ has 4 songs and clocks in at around 10 minutes, short enough for you to want to replay all day but packed enough to take you on an emotional rollercoaster.

‘Odyssey’ is now available to stream or purchase on all digital music platforms here: https://zik.fanlink.to/Odyssey

Nii Steppa in “Party Time” mood on new single

Done over a hard-hitting in-house production, Nii Steppa’s menacing tone and lyrics echo takes on an all partying song by an enormous wave of ‘Party Time’. Stream or download ‘Party Time’ across all major digital platforms here: https://songwhip.com/niisteppa/party-time

The JN records artist has never been this articulate and imposing. He’s very confident in his approach on the 3-minute party song, showcasing a braggadocio that’s perfect in depicting.

As such, ‘Party Time’ is absolutely gripping, mostly thanks to the above but also how effortless the rapper is in turning this melancholy into a booming street sound. There’s simply some magic in how Steppa goes about the whole song, and we love it.

‘Party Time’ was produced and mixed & mastered by Gigzbeatz.

Israel Maweta breaks 7-years’ silence with new song “I No Go Blame You”

Israel Maweta breaks 7-years' silence with new song “I No Go Blame You”

Celebrated Ghanaian Musician/Producer, Israel Maweta touches on a very uncommon topic many fear to openly discuss. In recent times with many ladies going into liposuction and body shaming others for not having flat tummies, one can imagine how challenging and difficult it is with women, especially (nursing) mothers who have undergone varied body transformations due to child birth(s) or other health conditions.

Liposuction as many women would opt for it as a choice, on the other hand however, not many women even if capable and having the required finance or resources can go through it due to anxiety or fear. On this premise, Israel Maweta flips the script to rather appreciate women who have developed big protruding bellies and stretched marks as a result of creating family or health conditions. He drops a song around this topic to eulogize women especially mothers, wives and on the large, the feminine populace for that matter, hence the title “I No Go Blame You”.

“I No Go Blame You”, executively produced by Elorm Beenie was created, mixed and mastered by Accra-based Ghanaian Producer, CaskeysOnit.

The song is a groovy urbanized Afrobeats production with a touch of Amapiano and choral influence; a multiplicity of indigenous African ensembles that fits into every playlist with clean resonating lyrics. It’s a song that can play on both radio, television, online and outdoor events. A good song that fits weddings too.

He is a Veteran African Traditional Musician who straddles through varied African sounds spanning a career over 2 decades. He has explored different genres over the period from Afrobeats, Borborbor, Agbadza, Kinka, Gospel, Reggae, Appellations (Spoken Word), Zibo, Asafo Music, Zigi, just to name a few.

Israel holds a very enviable catalogue with his career which counts at least 20 Albums. As an Evangelist if The Gospel, he is more aligned with the Christian faith but steps beyond the religious boundaries to exploit his music talent across varied circles within the African Traditional Music he is also equally identified with.

His latest song “I No Go Blame You” is a comeback song after his almost 7-year hiatus with song releases: the song is a lead single to many other singles die for release from his stable this year 2023.
