Kwesi Arthur and Efia Odo

Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has revealed that she and rapper, Kwesi Arthur parted ways in their friendship about a year ago.

The actress turned musician shook the internet last week when she revealed that she was no longer a die-hard-fan of the rapper.

“I like his music yes… but I’m not his biggest fan anymore,” Efia told Felicia Osei in an interview on Onua FM.

When asked why her admiration for the rapper has suddenly vanished, Efia stated;

“Sometimes people can do things that turn you off and then it’s like okay I can’t really be a fan of you anymore. I still like his music but not his biggest fan anymore.”

While Efia’s sudden change of heart for the rapper  took her fans by surprise, she has in an interview with Ameyaw TV’s Zeinat Issahaku revealed that she and Kwesi have actually not spoken for over a year now.

“Kwesi and I have not been cool for a year now. Last year December after his album launch…Even at the album launch, he and I were not cool like that but I still went,” Efya told Zeinat.

Asked why she still made an appearance at Kwesi’s album listening when they weren’t on speaking terms, she said;

“Because I wanted to support. I have unconditional love for people until you do something detrimental and it’s like nah I cut you off for good. I’ve unfollowed him on Twitter and Instagram.”

Efia also cleared the air on the perception that her and Kwesi’s “breakup” was as result of the new girl in Kwesi’s life.

“I knew about the girl. People have this perception that it was because of the girl but it isn’t,” she clarified.
