Kwesi TumTum is a hardworking musician who began his musical career about 9 years ago. He was part of the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing which was hosted by GhOne.
He then went by the artistic name, black iCon. After traveling to various parts of the world and showcasing his musical craft to various nationalities, he decided to re-brand to Kwesi TumTum. He launched his new brand last year December at Level 8, One Airport Square which saw various radio and tv personalities coming to show their support. His purpose for rebranding is to represent his African background and pride.
He is currently working on establishing his own record label, Sharp Lane Records; which has already made impacts in helping the underground musicians in any little way as possible. Kwesi TumTum incorporates various genres of music at different times to make up his own genre which he terms as Afro-vibes.
Kpakpo is an upbeat and fast tempo song which is really danceable and has a lot of African instruments incorporated. Kpakpo is a Ga word which means Green pepper and it is being used here in the song to represent the hot nature of the song. The song comes with a dance which is basically bending your knees, moving your waist to the left and right and bouncing your feet.
