Lasmid and Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music part ways
Reigning VGMA’s new Artiste of the Year Lasmid has parted ways with Highly Spiritual Music record label.
This was made known by the record label boss, Kaywa during a recent sit-down with Andy Dosty on Adom TV’s ShowTym aired on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
According to Kaywa, The ‘Friday Night’ hitmaker’s decision to depart the label, was caused by a few internal problems. He asserted that despite their back-and-forth discussions, Lasmid had already made up his mind.
“The conversation with Lasmid has been a back and forth but it was way before VGMA. He started trumpeting ‘I want to go, I want to go’ a long time ago. There is a back story but I wouldn’t wanna make it public,” he stated.

Lasmid joined Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music Label in 2020 after being crowned the winner of MTN Hitmaker 8. His departure comes shortly after his colleague Mr Drew left the label after announcing his contract has ended.
