Late Ghanaian fashion designer Antoinette Pokua Poku laid to rest

The Ghanaian fashion industry mourns the loss of a visionary as Antoinette Pokua Poku, a prominent Ghanaian fashion designer and creative director of the renowned fashion brand Poqua Poqu as she was laid to rest today, February 26, 2024.

Pokua, celebrated for her distinctive style and innovative designs, left an indelible mark on the world of fashion. Her untimely passing on Wednesday, February 14, at age 42, has left a void in the hearts of many who admired her creativity and contributions to the industry.

The funeral proceedings held at the Lashibi Funeral Home were a poignant reflection of Poku’s impact, attended by fellow designers, celebrities, industry insiders, policians and admirers. Some celebrities spotted at the funeral grounds were John Dumelo, Sister Derby amongst others.

Eulogies highlighted not only her sartorial genius but also her philanthropic endeavors, showcasing a woman whose influence extended beyond the realm of fashion.
