Lauren London pens powerful tribute to Nipsey Hussle on 1-year anniversary of his death

As fans and friends celebrate Nipsey Hussle’s life and legacy on the first anniversary of his death, Lauren London is remembering the man she called a boyfriend and father.
Before March 31 was over, the actress took to Instagram to reflect on the painful past year and how she’s been able to cope. London, who shares a 3-year-old son named Kross with Nipsey, posted a photo of herself alongside Nipsey at his Marathon Clothing store.
“It’s been a year since you transitioned,” she began. “The pain is as heavy today as it was a year ago. God knows I would give anything to see you again I didn’t think I was going to survive a second of any of this.”
But she was able to find the strength to carry on thanks to her family, God, and Nip. “Prayers have kept me together. The kids keep me going and Gods Grace and Mercy have carried me this far. As today makes a year I stand strong because of you Because I know you wouldn’t have it any other way Because I recall every late night conversation we had about resilience and fear Because you were my greatest teacher and because you are still with us, in spirit.”
Her powerful tribute ended with a vow.
“With every breath i take I honor you I carry this pain with purpose I promise I will make you proud,” she said. “I promise to apply everything you taught me In life and in death. Ermias Asghedom There will never be another Until we are together again…. I love you beyond human understanding ( but you know that already).”
The couple began dating in 2013 after meeting on social media. Earlier this year, London teamed up with PUMA to launch collection in Nipsey’s honor, with all proceeds going directly to the Neighborhood “Nip” Foundation. She also paid homage to Nipsey in a video for PUMA’s “Forever stronger campaign” Nipsey’s peers including The Game, Big Sean, DJ Khaled, and Roddy Ricch also took to social media to salute the rap legend, who was killed outside his Marathon Clothing store at the age of 33.
