dark knight rises premiereAs the world recovers from the shocking news of the tragic shooting at a midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” in a theater in Colorado on the morning of July 20, some Ghanaian movie stars trooped the Silverbird Cinema later in the day to be a part of the worldwide third premiere of the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The blue carpet premiere, sponsored by Samsung and Coca Cola, was preceded by a VIP Cocktail and pre-premiere session which saw Ghanaian star actors Van Vicker, Majid Michel, Pascaline Edwards, Ama K Abebrese and others in attendance. Joining the stars were expectant movie fans, invited guests and the media. ‘Dark Knight Rises’ which is based on the comic character ‘Batman’ has a star studded cast including Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Morgan Freeman.
